Lasers.

Lupe Fiasco released Lasers this year, and its decent. The production sounds a whole lot cleaner ever since "The Cool" and the sounds quality is ridiculously smooth. A pretty good album, I would not mind seeing him live.

New Sound for Wiz.

People are starting to lose faith in Wiz Khalifa. With the release of "Cabin Fever" Taylor Gang followers claim that this guy is sellin out. People claim that he is movin away from the stoner rap/skater rap that we once saw with the release of Half Baked and Deal or No Deal. One can get to see that song GangBang ft. Big Sean. On that song a deep ass bass with synthesizers in the back goin wild.

This song gives me a dirty south feel to it. I am a big Wiz fan and I like what he is doing. With the turn away from the typical sounds that we heard with his first few releases, folks are hating on the fact that ever since he got signed to Atlantic Records his style has changed dramatically.

You know what I say to those people? Screw You. Wiz isn't sellin out. He is still full of unique sound and killer beats it is just that he is so damn versatile and can provide that stoner rap or he can provide those hard songs that make folks want to gang bang like in "Gangbang". And you know what? For those that claim that he is in it for the money. So be it.

People have there own motive and eventually he will go back to his roots of rhyming about weed and so on. Also rapping about weed all the time gets old after a while. I give props to Wiz for stepping away from that and makin sounds that aren't typically associated with him.

Law$ of Gravity

Is set to drop at midnight tonight. Before reading anything else that is to be set before you, do me a favor and go and do YOURSELF a favor and download this new mixtape by a guy by the named of Vaughn. Vaughn hit me up on Twitter an asked me if I would be willing do a write up. I told him sure. I was skeptical at first mainly due to the fact that I was not sure what exactly I was going to get out of the situation.

Fortunately I was able to peek the mixtape before anyone else. One of the first songs on the mixtape is "Does What I Want". Lyrically this song is one that I wish I could live my life by. The message I got out of this song was one that said "Fuck you, I have got my own life ahead of me and I don't want you to get in the way". I'll be honest this attitude is one that will make Vaughn more successful then he already is and I want to give him props for being as real as he is.

Im no recording engineer but aside from Vaughn's lyrics spitting the truth the actual sound of the beats that come out are very very clean. I can tell that the team that stood behind Vaughn are real and care about the music and the message that is promoted through the lyrics so with that being said a good sound is to be expected.

While listening to this mixtape I found my self subconsciously nodding my head up and down with the beat that was thumping in the back. This is how I distinguish a shitty mixtape from one that is entertaining and has listenability

Now when I mentioned the "Does What I Want" song I mentioned how it projected an image that I can relate to it also projected a hard ass type of feel to it. Now with any talented artist, especially in hip-hop, there are going to be some weak points. With being a rapper for example, a weakness could be versatility.

On the topic of versatility this basically means switching up styles to where they are still appealing to the masses. I can proudly admit that my buddy Vaughn is versatile in both his flow, but also in the chill vibe as we see in the R&B game. This "One Night" song which features a good friend of him Young Piff.

Each song is different, each message is different but all of it is good. Vaughn is up and coming but I have faith that he is going to make it out there and remember me after I write this. I expect nothing in return, I just want you all to know that this guys music deserves to be heard because of his talent.
